Since I'm idling away at this hour waiting for an attachment to load, might as well blog for a while!
My birthday had been quite nice :D Thanks to everyone who made it that way! So was 4a and 2a chalet, thanks to ber and co for the star too! I bet we'll never forget that night at pasir ris.
December holidays was quite well spent, considering I was in school almost everyday working my guts out for Orientation. It was definitely fufilling for me in terms of what I hoped to achieve. Given the choice between a busy busy life and a rather free one, I'll choose the former. Tempted to call myself a workaholic, but on the other hand, I slack quite alot too. Big time irony!
Walk-in's coming in a short 3 days! Soterios OGLs all did alot to make it improve leaps and bounds ever since after Xmas. LOL and we make a pretty good team!
The walk-in has shown the true faces of many i would say. I've gotta say I have learnt quite some bit from it. 5 major lessons!
1) Being underprepared for an event does not equate to us not having prior plans to do the 'exact same thing'
2) Diplomacy does not work well always, even when we think that we have made friends with certain groups of people.
3) Ideas are limited and it's up to everyone to repackage an idea to make it unique to themselves.
4) Ideas do not solely belong to one person especially when we exist as 2 separate entities thinking of how to best present ourselves.
5) It doesn't feel good to be wrongfully accused, especially in terms of originality. I have never and will never resort to such underhand methods in council work.
Well, I've put that aside. We have been on great terms even before we got elected, so this is no issue at all :)
This is the start of a new year! Hope 2008 will be a blast after all the wishes I wished for during the meteor shower on Dec 14th early morning.
Things like this gives us all a boost of hope once in a while. Although we cannot indulge in it, I don't mind if they come true. LOL especially when I wished 4 times on 4 shooting stars ;)
And one more thingy! My mum likes to touch my stuff on my table.. She trashed something which meant alot to me and I just salvaged it in its crumply mess from the bin :( Hope it'll look as good as before.
